Information for healthcare organizations, clients, and visitors about business associate agreements and contacting AITS securely.

Business associate agreements

When services involve creating, receiving, maintaining, or transmitting protected health information on behalf of a covered entity or another business associate, a written business associate agreement may be required under HIPAA.

Contact AITS to review the services involved and request the applicable BAA or a copy of your existing agreement. The agreement for your engagement addresses the parties’ responsibilities, permitted uses and disclosures, safeguards, incident reporting, and other applicable requirements.

Your agreement remains the governing document.

This page provides general information. It does not execute, replace, amend, or terminate a BAA or other existing client agreement.

Request a BAA or discuss a privacy question

Email [email protected] or call (800) 431-1290. Include your organization’s name and a brief description of your request.

Please do not include patient records, passwords, or other sensitive information in the website form or ordinary email. Contact our team first to coordinate an appropriate transfer method.

Website inquiry information

The consultation form requests your name, email address, organization, service interest, and message. Submitting the form sends these details by email to AITS so our team can respond and discuss your request.

Website hosting and email providers process information involved in delivering the site and its messages. The form uses a session cookie for submission security and an IP-based submission limit to reduce abuse. Hosting and security systems may also process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs.

Questions about information you submitted

To ask about information you provided through this website, contact [email protected] with “Website privacy request” in the subject. Describe your request without including sensitive records. We may need to verify your identity before discussing or changing information.

Client and patient requests

For an existing engagement, use your established AITS support and reporting channels. If you are a patient seeking access to, correction of, or information about your health records, contact your healthcare provider.
